A festival with a fun name to say, the Philadelphia Ham Jam Arts Festival is held in Philadelphia, Mississippi, and a major part of this event involves cookin’ up some barbecue. In fact, there’s a large BBQ contest at this festival, which also brings live music and a Hog Wild Run/Walk to the streets of southern Philly. This is a spring festival on the Main Street of the town that happens over a couple days, a format is has followed since its inception in the early 2000s. This is part of the town’s efforts to revitalize their downtown area and is the largest promotional event in the area, with over 15,000 people taking part in its busiest years and proceeds going to the community.
